The Problem
Every AI coding tool fails the same ways: inventing APIs that don’t exist, duplicating systems that already work, ignoring the architecture, guessing instead of asking, and building before you’ve thought the idea through. Chat writes code the moment you finish a sentence — and there’s no undo when it breaks what worked.
The Approach
We built Forge around one rule: chat never builds code. Chatting only creates and refines a structured plan — problem statement, prioritized features, data entities, integration notes, architecture brief. The only way code gets written is an explicit human Build click, executed against a pre-build review of the existing codebase, verified afterward, with one-click rollback. Delivered in two forms: Forge CLI — a lean, terminal-native AI coding agent for engineers who want maximum flexibility — and Forge Cloud — a full cloud development environment with the complete plan/build discipline, previews, and stakeholder requests built in.
The Outcome
Newbies, senior developers, and enterprise teams building on the same platform. Plans stay clean through 20+ features where generic AI tools drift after 2–4. Forge is Luminvera’s flagship product, growing under active development.
